Application Information
Applicants will be considered only with the completion of an application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for the upcoming application year. Applications must include:
- Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s Cardiovascular Disease Program Director.
- Two additional letters of recommendation from physicians in the United States
- Official medical school transcript
- A complete CV
- Personal statement
- Official transcripts for all applicable examinations (COMLEX and/or USMLE).
- Those qualified to train with us must successfully complete training within an ACGME or AOA accredited Internal Medicine residency program and secure full, unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Oklahoma prior to starting their Interventional Cardiology fellowship.
Interviews
Eligible applicants will be considered for interview, ranking and appointment based on:
- Academic performance
- Grade point average
- COMLEX-USA Level 1, 2CE, 2 PE, and 3 (For DO Applicants)
- USMLE Step 1, 2CK and 2CS (For MD Applicants)
- Ability
- Overall preparedness
- Communication skills
- Personal qualities (such as motivation and integrity)
- The interview, compatibility of the applicant with program philosophy and goals, academic record, letters of recommendation, and evidence of involvement in and commitment to cardiovascular medicine weigh heavily in the selection and ranking of applicants
ERAS Information
Applicants are accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Completed applications are reviewed periodically and candidates are notified when there is sufficient information to offer an interview. Interview dates are granted to qualified candidates.
