Program Director Welcome Letter

Daniel WildesWelcome to the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Oklahoma State University Medical Center (OSUMC).

The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is a one-year program and accepts one highly-qualified physician per year. This program is for fellows who have successfully completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship program.

Fellows will develop and demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgement, professionalism and interpersonal skills. Our fellows receive supervised one-on-one training as well as clinical independence and confidence for entry into their own practice upon graduation.

Clinical training takes place at Oklahoma State University Medical Center and Saint Francis Hospital. Didactics include weekly catheterization conferences, book club, journal club, monthly morbidity and mortality meetings, and grand rounds. Interventional Cardiology fellows will have research coordinated through OSU Center for Health Sciences and responsibilities in an outpatient continuity clinic.

Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding the fellowship or the application process.

Sincerely,

Daniel E. Wildes, Jr., D.O., FACOI, FACC
Program Director
