The Department of Family Medicine provides educational opportunities in family medicine for all medical students at the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Family Medicine Clerkship for Third Year Medical Students
The Family Medicine Clerkship is a four-week block that takes place across 7 sites across Eastern Oklahoma.
This setting provides a unique opportunity for direct patient care, interprofessional experiences and a variety of additional opportunities. In addition to learning from supervised patient care experiences, a variety of additional learning experiences will be incorporated.

The Healthcare Center offers opportunities to work with a primarily underserved urban population of patients. You will get to experience care for all ages and stages of life. You will also participate in 1 week of inpatient service with the Family Medicine inpatient team. - OSU Eastgate

Our Eastgate clinic sees patients that speak many different languages, which is a fantastic opportunity for those who are bilingual in Spanish. Eastgate sees the highest number of pediatric patients across all our clinics. She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of the OSU Medical Group. You will have the opportunity to work with her in an outpatient family medicine practice. - Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center

He has been in practice for 12+ years; he enjoys teaching and has been involved with OSUCOM-CN since its opening in 2020. While you are with the Cherokee Nation and Dr. Beck you will get to experience OMT, procedures, Didactics. There are also monthly hands-on OMT labs and procedures as well as SIM labs, in the spring you will get to experience sports physicals for local school systems. - Morton Comprehensive Health

Address: 11511 E 21st St Tulsa OK, 74129 Preceptor: Dr. Tommy Duffy Clinical Environments: CLINIC, OMM Description: The Morton primary care health system is a nonprofit corporation and is governed by a multicultural board of directors comprised of community representatives and patients. Morton provides medical services to northeastern Oklahoma and offers its services on the patient's ability to pay as defined by federal poverty guidelines. This clinic’s presence in east Tulsa will allow students to work with Spanish speaking and immigrant populations.
